INDONESIA IS ONE OF THEM!!

The winners were picked from a record 255 entries from 13 countries, significantly more than the 144 entries in 2011. China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand made it into the finals.

Things keep in tense when the Audi Star Creation 2012’s judges’ deliberations ongoing. But it was the designers from China, Korea and Thailand who finally claimed the the top spots at the region-wide fashion design competition. This is the third year in a row that China has produced a winner, but is a first time win for both Thailand and Korea. Korea also had the strongest showing in the finals, with four finalists.

 Fashion designers from 7 countries make the cut, including Japan, Singapore and South Korea; scramble to ready collections for the May 14 runway showdown begins

 

The 12 aspiring fashion stars who will face off on the runway at Audi Star Creation 2012 have been picked from over 250 submissions for the regional fashion design competition. The strongest showing this year came from South Korea, which produced four finalists. Singapore and Malaysia have two finalists each, and China, Indonesia, Japan and Thailand complete the seven countries that will be represented at the finals. 

The 12 finalists for Audi Star Creation 2012 are:

4. Ling Siu Gin, 21, Malaysia

5. Vincent Wong, 22, Malaysia

6. Eugenice Chen, 20, Singapore

7. Jaslin Ong, 21, Singapore

8. Kim Mina, 24, South Korea

9. Kim Soo-Jeong, 25, South Korea

10. Kim Yong Woo, 27, South Korea

11. Ko Youngji, 32, South Korea

12. Soravit Kaewkamon, 23, Thailand
