Do
you think being an agent need to be smart and strong? Well, keep the smart one.
Rowan Atkinson who acts as the main agent in the Johnny English Reborn proved
that being MI-7 just need heart purity for the most and everything will be
fine. Universal pictures which directed by Oliver Parker succeed portraying an agent who doesn’t really have
the excess brain to be the one who in the end still keep the ‘world’ safe. As
usual, Atkinson wills never leaves his foolishness in every move makes the
audience can’t stop laughing from whatever he did. Not even in this ‘heroism’
movie which smoothness of the modern ‘hero’ as the CIA.
Begins
in China, Johnny (MI-7) practicing Kung fu in one of the secluded temple in
Asia which purifying his heart. Since
learning about the peace of mind, suddenly, he called by his head of team to
reveals Chinese Prime Minister assassination attempt,
which suspected that there is conspiration involving KGB, CIA, and even MI-7
itself. Packed as comedy action, this don’t-stop-laughing movie continuously showing
how foolness Johnny as an agent. He always takes wrong decision that cause his
own trouble and when he wants to end it – it just doesn’t work. This movie full of misunderstanding,
miss-communication, and even miss strategies used by the main actor. Claimed as
action picture, this movie actually has focus
in ‘how to make people smile-for the worst’ rather than accentuate in ‘hot’ battle
itself. However, we can’t doubt about the effects used by the Hollywood Motion
Picture Production which really total in the movie making.
So, are you ready to
laugh at the face of danger?
